Saturday, May 3, 2014 9:30 am – 3:00 pm
Aldersgate UMC – 2201 Earl Rudder Fwy – College Station, TX 77802
All leadership and members of East Texas Area Aglow Lighthouses are invited to attend this special event. We will be discovering how to live heaven to earth using treasures in the Kingdom of God.
Rachel Norris of Joy Pottery will share her testimony with a pottery demonstration. A testimony of God’s grace, mercy and redeeming love demonstrated through Jesus Christ. Rachel uses the pottery making process to illustrate these biblical truths. She has her pottery wheel with a lump of clay, and explains how the Potter (symbolizing God) wedges the clay (symbolizing us), puts it on the wheel, carefully guides it and shapes it, and makes it into a raw, beautiful, but unfinished piece. God places treasures within each clay vessel to portray his own image in the vessel.
We are like clay jars in which the treasure is stored. (2 Corinthians 4:7) We invite everyone to come to the Treasure Hunt and discover what treasure is stored in your clay pot.
There is no registration fee for this event, however, an offering will be received. Please RSVP to Linda Carpenter at email@example.com or 979-324-6985 before April 30. Lunch will be provided.
Consider participating in the March of Remembrance in your choice of 5 locations in the Houston metro area: On Saturday, April 26, marches will be held in Kingwood, Baytown, Webster, and Brenham. On Sunday, April 27, the central march will take place in Meyerland. Resolve to never be silent when faced with the signs of impending genocide for any people group. Register at March of Remembrance Houston to participate in the prayer walk with others who desire to honor and validate the suffering of those who endured the horrors of the Holocaust. Attend the memorial service and hear testimonies of survivors and be a part of the healing process. Put feet to your faith and express Aglow’s Israel Mandate by participating in this significant event.
